The event that will bring a series of events dedicated to Bisatto to the city is scheduled for June and July 2015. Under 35 protagonists
The summer of 2015 in Este promises to be full of events. The WaterCity project, led by the association La Medusa, will feature young people under 35 from several important associations such as Mentalmente Instabili, Estensione, Studio D, Euganea Movie Movement and Società Remiera di Monselice, and will bring a series of initiatives to the city that will take place between 6 June and 26 July 2015. Exhibitions, themed itineraries along the banks, three-dimensional models, musical evenings, creative workshops for children, boat tours and much more, all under the banner of three common threads: history, culture and the rediscovery of a common good of the territory. “Through sounds, words and images, WaterCity will tell the story of the presence of water in the city over the centuries, from ancient times to the present day” say the organizers.
“WaterCity” is funded by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo through the CulturalMente 2014 call for proposals and is also supported by the Municipality of Este, SESA, the Adige Euganeo Land Reclamation Consortium, the Este Civil Engineering Department, the Padova Sud Basin, the Atestino National Museum, Studio D, IUAV and all the city’s schools. The project aims to draw attention to a precious resource that is currently neglected. “Starting from our canal, we want to raise awareness among citizens and visitors about landscape preservation, environmental protection and eco-sustainability.” During the event, ten artistic installations will be placed along the Bisatto canal. The call for their creation, aimed at young artists under 35, can be consulted at the following web address: http://www.progettogiovani.pd.it/bando-realizzazione-di-10-installazioni-artistiche/ .
